Le Trader

Came here with my friend on a groupon deal. It is a cozy little restaurant with hipster decoration that serves good food! Unlike a lot of French restaurants , it has decent proportions that won't leave you starving after their 3 course meal. Enjoyed all 3 courses which doesn't happen often. Was impressed how good the beef eye fillet was. The meat is tender and their cheese sauce is to die for. Personally it could do with a bit more cheese sauce but it's mostly because I love cheese. My favourite was definitely their dessert. I had their Fondant Au Chocolat, the chocolate was oozing out and it wasn't too sweet. Friendly staff and a cute cozy little restaurant. Will definitely come back again

Le Trader is my local French restaurant - the food is wonderful and the service is great! I absolutely love the entrees and for the mains I have trouble going by the Fillet Steak. But, all of the dishes are fantastic and I usually spend the Sunday afternoon relaxing, loving the food and service while enjoying the meal and sipping on a few wines!! Highly recommend Le Trader as a top restaurant to go to if you want great French food, service and ambiance!!! Le Trader - keep up the good work!!!

*update: Le trader have recently changed their menu and more importantly, their prices. $42 for a steak, and upwards of $35 for chicken is normal for this area for dinner but it is a touch $$$. If you are a foodie still go here, but for me it's now relegated to a once in a while occasion place. I miss it already. Original review: I cannot begin to say how much i enjoy eating at le trader. Everything is organic so the steak and vegetables are amazing. You can also count on the chef to consistently cook the steak perfectly. Try the champagne as well. It's very nice and exceedingly good value at only $11 per glass! Love this place. It can get busy so lunch is always a good option here.

In the 70's French food was THE most popular type of food, next to Chinese. However, trying to find an authentic French restaurant with a personality excellent food & a good selection of wines to compliment the bill of fare is rare.......... UNTIL Le Trader was discovered by us! An absolutely wonderful restaurant, complimented by excellent French food, good Wines and staff with a personality. Highly recommended!
