Had the som tum (puu pla raa) and grilled fish combo which were just great. The som tum was pungent, spicy and very generous and the fish was great, perfectly cooked and delicious. Also had a couple of grilled pork skewers (moo ping) which were yummy. All of this should be a five star review but we also had the crispy pork belly with basil and chilli (pad krapow moo krob) and the pork was anything but crispy, the skin was soft and had never been crispy. This is a basic dish for most thai restaurants and should have been better. Will go back though based on the fish to give them another go (review was done early jan 2022 with covid in sydney so may have staffing issues).

Customer service great. Food average. But the real kicker was the broken blade I found in my rice. Luckily I didn’t eat it! I’m not sure what small blades are used for in the kitchen but it shouldn’t have made its way into my food. The manager on duty was wonderful and handled the situation as well as she could have. The chefs on the other hand… eek.

I had to wait 15 more minutes than necessary. It was very busy, all the tables were full. I ordered takeaway and was told it will take 15-20 minutes, that is fair. I originally stood just in front of the entrance but was told I could sit down at the tables that are outdoors. I sat there for about half an hour and had the suspicion that my food had already been prepared but they haven't come out to say it is done. I walked over to the entrance and saw a takeaway bag on the counter, I stood there for about a minute. One of the staff noticed me and handed over the food. I asked how long had it been sitting there and she said around 15 minutes. I understand that it was busy but surely I was visible from the place I was sitting, after all, one of the staff told me I could sit there. Even if they couldn't, it wouldn't have taken much time to pop your head out to see if the customer is there. I have been to the shop before, many times, and I will be coming back in the future. The food is good but the price is a little bit steep. all in all, I would give the shop a 4/5 stars. However, what happened tonight was not on.

I ordered take away from Thai Esarn food today. I’m very impressed with their real authentic flavors. 30% discount for this Covid time is also a real bonus. The staff today had really good manners on the phone and in person. I would like to go back there to dine-in one day, please keep your high standards and Thai traditional way.
