Din Tai Fung (the Star)

Your stock standard taiwanese handmade noodles (freshly made) and dumplings as well as their other dishes. Good portion sizes. Reasonable pricing, particularly being located in the city. Efficient service and food can be ordered through their touch screen service at the counter. There are three of these to reduce waiting times for ordering.

Average. I think its more for convinience. I would also think the actual restaurants would be better. The chicken and mushroom dumplings were not that great. The xiao long bao are nice but nothing special. Homemade noodles are good. Overall, its just ok. Would recommend purely on convinience if your at The Star for a show.

Well this is a little gem and Whoever had the brainwave to bring Din Tai Fung to Star City casino food court was a genius! You get the world's best dumplings, at super fast speed so you can eat them on the go! I love the restaurant at World Square too but it's great to have a quick option to satisfy your dumpling craving. Just make sure to not park at star city otherwise your parking cost will add some $$$ to the experience!!

I ordered Braised Beef Noodle Soup via the online system. I was expecting one or two button press was enough. But then the screen asked if I need additional order. Something says word like “..spinach..”. I thought spinach was already included as the picture shows. So now I understood that it means it is an extra with $6.90 charge! But when the order came, I was surprised there was no spinach but four tiny pieces of dumplings in a separate tray! I complained to the attendant and she told me they only followed what I ordered, and changes can not be done anymore. I argued that the menu ordering system is so catchy but she did not agree. I will not dine again in that eatery.
