Ivy

After numerous occasions visiting the ivy, it seems fitting to provide a summary review. I have enjoyed visiting the ivy pool bar for a work event during the day, and also for drinks and pizza in the evenings 🍸🍕 The concept of the pool bar is unique and attractive, and a great place to bring friends visiting from interstate! There is often DJs and great mood lighting. The vibe is very different night to night depending on the crowd, however. The ideal seats are usually booked, but there are packages you can reserve for a special occasion. We enquired for a hens but didn’t find it an inviting offer for a smaller group. Also worth noting that the dance floor has deteriorated in quality of music and energy post-pandemic, so wouldn’t recommend coming unless you have a large group to start the dance floor with you! On the whole though, ivy is always nice for a drink, but not my preference for dancing 💃🏽

Went to Marco Polo--had a good time but for a paid event at such a popular venue the experience could've been better. Drinks were way overpriced (charged my friend 24 for a vodka cranberry) and not strong, very long lines at the bar, many of the cocktails on the menu they did not actually have, music was way too loud, and pool was pretty cold.

Facilities were average, food was disappointing, overcooked and tasteless they must be banking on everybody having covid at some stage and their taste buds haven’t recovered. The cocktails were terrible you could tell they weren’t made to the correct method as well as being low tide in your glass, you leave this venue feeling ripped off just like their staff being underpaid. It makes sense why every venue in there is the same, very overrated one star is too much for this low profile hang out!

You are guaranteed to have literally no space to move. When people were not pushing and shoving me into other people all night, I was stuck standing in the middle of everyone with no room to even move my arms. They obviously let way too many people in. Plus, the entry to this club is so excessive and long. I get the whole security thing, but they acting like it’s some exclusive mafia lounge and everyone MUST be thoroughly searched or else are denied access. Do not recommend ‼️
