Quarrymans Hotel

Seems to have had a change of management and kitchen.. food that used to be good is not very much so. The stand out used to be the buffalo wings which were crispy, hot and spicy with a nice creamy blue sauce but are now soft, sticky with a fake sauce. The menu has changed to be more expensive but less options other than boring standard pub fare ..all of which arrived cold, steak arrived well done to the pint of sawdust texture when it was meant to be medium rare… overall more expensive for cheaper poorer food quality … Staff were a bit rude about it too … Bring back what it was before when it was good … as locals and previous regulars , we are no longer fans and will give it a miss in the future

What is your policy on dogs? I understood you were dog friendly but we have just been kicked out. We were outside and told to move inside but not told dogs were not allowed inside so we bought drinks just before being asked to leave. In the past, I have stayed inside with my dog no problem. Could you please let me know clearly your policy on dogs?

We dined here last night, our food was good but that was the only redeeming feature. The doorman was quite rude and lethargic. They didn’t offer basic spirits such as Midori and Malibu, and the atmosphere was very dark and dingey. When we were brought the wrong meal, we were met by an extremely rude waitress who didn’t even attempt to apologise but instead made us feel like it was our fault and glared at us when we said we didn’t mind taking either the wrong or right meal. She later came back with the same meal and dumped it down saying “we’ll deal with it later”. She was young, short, and wore a plait with dark hair (for managements reference). Very disappointed as this place is rated so highly in Sydney and last night did not reflect that at all.

We recently hosted our daughters 21st at The Quarryman’s Hotel (The Lounge) and would highly recommend. From the first contact right through to the end of the party they were friendly and professional to deal with and nothing was too much trouble. The canapes were delicious and the venue looked fabulous. Many thanks to Patrick, Kyo (who managed the evening brilliantly) and the entire staff at The Quarryman’s for a wonderful event.

Food was good but service needs a little change. No one to take orders from table and the staff was quite rude when ordering. When the food arrived the lady took a dishback because it wasnt the special parmi but the normal one even though we were fine with that . Only difference was salad on the plate.
