Tre Viet Restaurant

First time here and we really like it. Staff where very accommodating and we enjoyed our meal. We ordered vegetarian spring roll and straight away you can feel the difference, they were crispy and delicious. We also had, barramundi and grilled beef and the presentation is awesome. We will be back for sure.

Crispy vegetarian Spring rolls on top of soft rice noodles, with pickled carrots, crunchy cucumber, bean sprouts and crushed peanuts, add a sweet nuoc nam. It’s tasty and filling. The egg crepe with fried tofu and barbecued cauliflower florets is a treat. Just add a pot of dark green tea and you’re set. Try a Vietnamese beer with this.

Ok last minute viet food. Very meaty flavour of pho instead of herbal. Tomato rice was microwave heated (burning bowl). $24 for 10 pieces of grill pork but without the crispy skin (sad). Menu looked more like Thai food than viet. Overall, its flavour was ok. But go somewhere else if there’s other options.

Unfortunately, Tre Viet was a bit of a disaster. I ordered egg noodle soup with Crispy chicken. I had ordered the chicken a few weeks ago and it was quite nice. Tonight if was very average with not the great flavour it had on our last visit. The biggest problem was the soup which was extremely bland and well under seasoned. The worst part however was the noodles which reminded me of two minute noodles as they were nothing like egg noodles at all. The service however was friendly but I did overhear group at the other table that they weren't very impressed either with the food. This is disappointing as my brother said this place was really good. Perhaps the chef was ill and someone who can't cook filled in.

Although the food was nice, it took forever for someone to take out order as well as for the food to arrive. The place needs a coat of paint as the walls are splattered with meals of yesteryear. There was a decent sized piece of plastic in my vermicelli with only a small apology and no offer to discount or refund.
