Urban Bites

Urban Bites has been around for a million years and their menu has remained pretty consistently throughout the ages. It's not super adventurous, but for some people that's very comforting. They have the traditional cafe type offerings; burgers, sandwiches, bacon and eggs etc. They also have some fun specials, vegetarian options and they are licenced. It's usually busy for brunch o'clock, like most places. It's not really worth waiting for a table, as there are plenty of similar opportunities along King Street. The staff are very friendly and super prompt. Standard prices across the board.

It's a great spot for a late night coffee and I always enjoy the breakfast here. (Breakfast is served until 3pm) The courtyard has a great atmosphere and is dog friendly... So don't be shy to bring your 4 legged, canine friends along (also, I'll buy you a coffee if you let me pat them!) They also have a bar with a pretty good selection of the staple drinks which is pretty useful, especially if you're crawling from Newtown towards Broadway. Don't forget to tip the friendly staff!

Urban bites was really good, food and staff were consistently good. Loved their pastas and salads and especially their thick smoothies. Recently revisited the place after a year or two and the place has slightly changed interiorly as well as the menu. Disappointed they got rid of their various pasta variety and middle eastern flavours. Service was still good but wasn't a fan of the dishes flavours anymore. However when being there I discovered a service they possibly had for a while which I never noticed which is cake ordering which is claimed to be baked fresh everyday offering cheesecakes, flans, classic cakes and gluten-free.

Urban Bites is quintessential cafes of new town. Housed with ample seating and food options to a wide arena of customers. The all day breakfast options is something that comes highly recommended to all. But if your a crazy one like me getting the other fresh cooked meals goes hand in hand with the same recommendation. My overall experience at the cafe has been unique experience in terms of food, the staff and a unique ambiance, tempting me for a return visit soon.

It started off great, the place has a quirky relaxed atmosphere with posters of performers past, present and future. The menu was ok but things unfortunately went down hill a bit, we witnessed this waitress who can't communicate with one of the patrons as the waitress could not understand or express her thoughts in English clearly. We had a waiter that took our orderand we repeated that we wanted a large chai in a mug to have at the premise AND just the blended mocha to take away. What we got was a large chai to take away and a blended mocha to have at the premise. I think the waiters should spend a bit more time listening and passing the order through correctly. Other than that i am willing to give it another go, perhaps it would be better next time.
