Thai Tha Hai

Don't bother getting the "lunch special" because you'll pay $9 for a container of 90% rice with some vegies scattered over the top. I only buy food from here as a last resort because it's near work, but I am always shocked that they so obviously don't care about their takeaway customers. The food is ok, but you can find Thai places all over King St, Newtown who do AMAZING lunch specials consistently from $7-$8.50. Take the time and go anywhere else instead!

Massaman Beef: Sliced beef which was tough and gristly. Sauce was quite runny as opposed to thick and creamy. Vegetables soggy on outside, undercooked inside. I ordered the same recently for lunch which was just as bad but I thought it was just a discount lunch thing. I don't know if this place has changed recently, but I remember it being better.

The eating atmosphere of Thai tha hai is well spaced out and the food there is great i recommend the thai green curry it is one of the best i have tasted in Chippendale. it is close to the broadway it is like a 15 min walk from broadway and a 20 min walk from redfern station. the food is well proportion. the price range is ok from 10 or 20 and their side dishes are nice i recommend the the curry puffs. there desert range is good they use to have mango sticky rice and it was my favorite i hope if they read this they might bring it back!!!
