Just a heads up, don't get the set menu. We asked exactly what came with the set menu and were told the chef decides and this changes every time... So, for $60 a head we got the following per person: one profiterole with cheese inside, a quarter of a toasted ham sandwich, a deep fried enoki mushroom, a biscuit with a sardine on it, one oyster and then there were three desserts to share between 6 (which were actually very nice). The lightest and freshest part of the meal was the dessert and the one oyster we each had, so the order of serving and choice of dishes was very much off. There were too many fried dishes that were stodgy and lacked finesse. We joked that the only time we'd feel like a meal like that again was if we were hungover...

Love this place. I've been here twice in the last couple of weeks and both times amazing food and great service. The last time I went it was my friends 30th and while we didn't make a big song and dance of it they saw I'd brought a present and then at the end surprised us with a free candle lit desert - such a nice and unexpected touch. Definitely visit!

5 stars for everything - food (lamb ribs, beef, snapper, pancake, broccoli salad), wine, service, vibe. The only thing I wish is that it was a bit cheaper so I can justify going often. Apart from that, everything was flawless. Special shout out for the broccoli salad because I'm not usually a salad person but it was amazing!

Bar Brose is honestly one of my favourite restaurants in Sydney at the moment. I've been there on multiple occasions, including a large group for my partners birthday with multiple vegans and vegetarians and they've been welcoming and have served wonderful food every time. I would definitely recommend starting with the comte de gougeres (lovely little fluffy cheesy pastries). For 2 of us with a cocktail each the total ended up being around $120 (or slightly less) - which for the quality of food they're serving is spectacular. It's all share plates so be prepared for that. They also take American Express.
