Whirly Bird

At first we arrived and we were the first ones for lunch so I thought omg what have we gotten ourselves into. After ordering, the food came very promptly. The wait staff was very attentive. The manager came to check on us after 10 mins to ask how things were. Food wise, the battered tofu was thoughtfully prepared. Usually with battered tofu the inside is too hot to sink your teeth into, but this one the outside was hot and crispy and the inside was not too hot. The chicken wings... the handwashing lemon water was a nice warm temperature. Little things that make the service exceptional.

Very stylish bar that is a restaurant that is a bar. We ate as a family of five and felt very comfortable in a tidy space that is separated from the drinkers. We ate a whole stuffed bird and sides between us. We attended on a 50% off food offer and were pleasantly surprised at the final cost. Coffees were great as well.

Great place to visit especially when #TheForkAU has 50% discount, but having said that the prices are reasonable without the discount. The food portions are great for Sharing we got 4 dishes by far the Pork was the best. Also worth trying the Apple Cider from Baumers delicious 😋. Even for 2 people the food was too much a d we love our food. But made sure we ate it all. Can't waste it. Great atmosphere for casual dinner & drinks the restaurant is at the back half of the bar, rhe decor is really cool too. I would even suggest as first date, it's casual and brilliant food.

Such a quaint, little place. Went at 5pm and they had a drinks and snacks menu at a discounted price. We ordered a wide variety of dishes including jalapeno poppers (can't ever resist poppers!), tofu (crispy and soft in the centre), fried chicken (like a better quality, less salty KFC), croquettes and guacamole (tasted like I expected) and spiced roasted cauliflower. Oh my, that cauliflower was my favourite. Great combination of flavours. Absolutely delicious, especially when coupled with a Tamburlaine riesling.
