Unfortunately I have to echo other recent reviews. We are here at the weekend and whilst the server staff were lovely the time taken for food to come was ridiculously long. Not a server issue but kitchen issue. We also weren't asked if we wanted any more drinks after nearly 2 hours there. Unfortunately the food was average, I was expecting it to be delicious and piping hot the time it took to come out of the kitchen but this wasn't the case, it was warm and just okay really.

I consider myself a waffle connoisseur and their waffles are top tier. Crispy on the outside, and unbelievably soft on the inside. I don't know where these guys get their hazelnut ice cream, but it must be straight from Gordon Ramsey's freezer because it balances perfectly with the salted caramel sauce. We have also enjoyed the mussels, lasagna and lamb ragu, and all were worth the money. Service is lovely, and staff are always accommodating. This may be one of our favourite restaurants.

La Cucina hosted an 80th birthday lunch for our family and I could not be more thankful to them for making it such a special day. The team went above and beyond to make it a memorable occasion, and every dish that came out was absolutely fantastic and cooked to perfection! I'm shocked to see a negative review from around the same time as our booking, the timing of delivery of meals was not an issue in my opinion, allowing a casual and relaxed dining experience among family without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. You guys facilitated a wonderful day for us - thank you!

Food was good. Chicken a little on the dry side with not enough sauce. Wait staff need to pay a bit more attention to drink needs of customers. Was not too busy but had to get attention of waitress to get another drink. Sat for over 5 mins with staff walking past and not noticing our table while we waited. Have been here a few times and was always impressed with the food. I know times are hard at the moment to get staff etc. But if service lags there are plenty of other places keen to grab the customers.

Booked in for 7pm on a Saturday with my wife, daughter and her partner. After ordering our meals, the entrees arrived in around 30 mins. I can say they were quite good. From this point on, I’m not sure what happened, as the staff seemed to shuffle back and forth without checking on wether we wanted more drinks let alone making any eye contact with us. I’m no expert, but one thing I know is basic customer service skills and I would expect to be asked if we would like more drinks, especially as we ended up waiting an hour for our main meals. I eventually had to call one of the staff to order another wine and some water for our table. I don’t usually write reviews as I would prefer to keep visiting an establishment to show them my support if the service and food is great but this time I was really annoyed. The staff could not be bothered to acknowledge our table, the food arrived at 8.30 (1 1/2 hours after we sat down) and basic customer service was non existent. All this for a $220 bill! By the way, the chicken was really average and I would expect more for these prices. If the owner is reading this, please understand that it is a legitimate review with the intention of giving you and your staff constructive criticism and hope that you improve or better train your staff and kitchen team to give future customers a better dining experience.

SLOW service between courses, entree slow to come out, mains very slow to come out. The veal was chewy and tough, had to take pieces of meat out of my mouth. Wait staff couldn’t get a simple drink order right. My partner asked for a tonic water with a slice of lime, something really sweet and not tonic water came out, we tried again, and this time it was flat tonic water. The meatballs were dry and tasteless, only the sauce was OK. Really disappointing. Also we were waiting outside in the cold and they wouldn’t open the door until on the dot of 6pm. There were about ten people waiting in the cold to get in. Poor service and below average quality food especially for the price. Will not be giving this establishment my money ever again.
