The Beresford

Enjoyed a few drinks with my girl friends last night. The place was really well lit which created a really nice atmosphere and the venue was buzzing with people. It was a little bit difficult to get a table but we eventually got one after 30 minutes or so. The bathrooms were very clean and the staff were wonderful! I would definitely come back here.

Beer garden is nice, food is pretty good and fit out is beautiful. What ruined it for me was my friend being arbitrarily accused of being drunk because he apparently was seen to stumble on the way to/from the toilets. We were there for dinner and drinks over 2-3 hours and any number of drunk and/or high young people cavorted by. None suffered the subjective judgment of the immature bar manager and the subsequent humiliation that my older friend did. I should stress that he was sitting peacefully and chatting away harmlessly. Very embarrassing and straight out ageism.

A gem I did not expect in this location. The space inside looked several times bigger than you can imagine looking at it from the street. With halls made in different style and a large outdoor area you can find what suites to your current mood. And another surprise was a great owen pizza - we were on a way to Italian restaurant nearby but noticed a pizza owen on a way out, decided to give it a try and do not regret. Will definitely be back!
