Pavillion Beachfront

The view was breathtaking. The staff was nice and friendly. The menus had a couple of mistakes. The coffee was not the best, and it had no latte art. The ultimate breakfast was good, but I was expecting better; I mean, if you isolate each element from the dish ( tomato, mushrooms, hashbrown etc.) and try, you'll find that there's not too much work in cooking it. The taste is very average, smaller coffee shops in less amazing location have better taste. anyway the view is the best in Maroubra for a restaurant.

Bad customer service. First of all, I came here for coffee and asked for a window seat. The staff refused to offer me one and said it's usually reserved for customers who order breakfast. There wasn't anyone there except for me and another 2 customers. And even by the time I left, the window seats were never fully filled. After about half an hour, the guy who seems like a manager walk to me and asked me if I am ordering another coffee. When I replied him no, he told me he needed my seat in 20 min. I asked him if he has any other seat available and he said no. I doubt very much if I order another coffee he would give me a seat - probably would if I order a breakfast. I left my bag on the table when I walked to the counter for the bill. The same guy took my cup and water as soon as he saw me paying. Sure. Maroubra has a lot of friendly cafe and restaurants, but never would be this one if they don't improve their customer services. This is just a window and roof covered place with seats. Everyone can enjoy the beach anywhere else for free and not being treated like trash. Please go to visit other local businesses, I beg.

Nothing against this place, except a very unkind waitress with red hair refused to give me a cup of tap water after I purchased a coffee. I asked twice, but she insisted I should go and drink from the bubble fountain in the park even though the cafe was empty and it was raining outside. They need to address these customer care issues. It was extremely unpleasant.

Fantastic location, right on the beach front. Light filled cafe with excellent views and outstanding food. I’ve attached a few photos of some of the dishes to give you an idea of the type of food available and how it is presented. The wait staff are very hospitable and able to interpret your order quickly and easily. There are some good beverage options here also.
