Cargo

Not too bad of a place. We got a space/ table for ourselves so it was decently private for us. The system to order food and drinks was efficient, so you could just scan the QR code and order online and it would go to your table. The drinks were not very strong but overall it was okay. The food was decent. The atmosphere seemed quite good but it was also very crowded and busy. The music was okay. Probably wouldn’t be the first club I’d choose, but it was an okay experience overall.

I don’t usually give a 1 Star rating even if I had a bad experience. But I really want to do it this time sighting the unprofessional behaviour of Staff at Cargo. I was at Cargo on Monday 6th June around 10.30 pm. Even though the website says it closes at 2 am but the staff was hurrying and mentioned they will close at 11pm. That’s fine! But they hurried us so much to finish our drink. Never faces such kind of unprofessional behaviour in Sydney before. Taken away all the candle lights. Was very rude when taking order. Management should look into this. Specially the staff working on 6th June Monday night.

One of the staff made me leave because my friend brought a mostly empty can from a previous event in (fair enough but I had no idea why I was being involved). I was completely coherent and had been buying drinks from the bar the whole time, but when I tried to discuss with her she was so rude. I left without any trouble, the other security staff were lovely but couldn't help me. It would have been nice to sort it out with her but she had a real temper. I like the bar but this turned my friends and I off coming again

I used to love coming here but it has definitely changed. We enjoyed the cocktails ($35 for a jug) but surprisingly they wouldn't serve us after 1 jug between 2 - because apparently my friend was 'stumbling about'. Tbh of the 2 of us, I was definitely the most drunk but neither of us were stumbling! After making a big thing of not serving my friend, I was allowed to buy drinks anyway, so I'm not sure what they achieved really. All the while there was a huge group of lads next to us who were very clearly drunk but also still getting served. Perhaps Cargo Bar is now only for young and trendy lads??
