I feel a little shy as a non local praising this fine institution that nurtures and expands the yachting fraternity. Of course the location, view and facilities are superb but also the service we received was classy. Now I see some complaints against the food which surprises me because we were more than pleased with our meze platter (see the photo) and perfectly cooked wedges. Top beers too why are the tables so high? Oh, I know, to elevate your position to enhance the view.

The experience starts from the moment you see the smile (or lack of) the person welcoming you. The lady from inside the coffee bar briefly made her assessment of “the visitors” - two boys and two exhausted parents, and it seemed to have made the judgement call. We were sent to where we came from :-) I mean to the back of the building where we went past a moment before. We didn’t give up the hope to have a coffee at the club we got invited to by Audi so many times. We went to the back of the building and were greeted by a totally different and welcoming person. She explained what the club does, options to join and ways to get us in (yay!!!) just to meet that lady at the coffee bar once again.. “Process them as non-members” she said without turning her face towards us. When asked to use the side gate to leave (escape) the club as it was closer to the park and easier to get the pram and the baby through, she replied, “only if you have a swipe card you can…..”. Three stars for the coffee and the views
