Sphere Restaurant

It was a nice complimentary breakfast because we stayed in Rydges World Square Hotel (which ultimately was nice too)22nd to 23rd. It was such a relief to have it since you are tending to kids and would be easier for us to fill in their tummies in a Monday morning. We actually had a good time eating our breakfast. We weren't expecting it to be as fancy as something but it was definitely worth it. For a complimentary breakfast, it's a winner especially when you got kids! The full breakfast was a complete package for me and my family. They have heating stations for bread, chocolate fountains, salad bar. Choices of pastries and breads was definitely a good one. Enjoyed it a lot. My children indulged on their scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and bacon. They also offered congee (I forgot to try it).A table of hot drinks, cold juices and cereals too. The waffles might have a little twitching because it was a bit chewy but the mixture was good tho. I liked it still. The staff were all polite and nice. The place were spacious. Crowd were nice too smiles everywhere. One the staff, even gave my daughter a little activity pack. Thanks to him!So yeah, overall I am happy and very satisfied with the service. Good food, Good staff and a very nice crowd to have my coffee in a beautiful Monday Morning. Thank you very much! Will definitely come back 😊

We were guests at the Rydges World Square and the booking of our room included a breakfast. I must admit, when travelling with family, we often look for accommodation suitable to our family size at good prices. Often, we go for serviced apartments as they are more suitable to families with young kids, but occasionally, we book hotels if they have a breakfast option. Some context, 6 months ago, we visited Sydney and stayed in a hotel down the road in Darling Harbour. That hotel provided a breakfast option and the food variety, quality and service were top notch. Unfortunately, the food at Sphere (who provide the breakfast for the Rydges) was average. The food lacked flavour and there wasn’t any difference between the first and second days. To compare, the other hotel had a variety of food, Asian and western cuisines. Variety also varied from day to day. Complimentary barista made coffee too, fruit juicer also available as well as continental breakfast. Chef also on hand to make eggs as requested. Sphere had western cuisine and a very limited Asian offering. A chef was also available to make eggs and continental breakfast. Overall, what was disappointing was the quality of the food at Sphere. The breakfast wasn’t bad, just not as good in value for money compared to the competitors in the area.
