The Wolf Wine Bar

Disappointing experience. Came in with a Groupon voucher, $50 for $100 worth of food and I don't think it was even worth the $50. Ordered the salmon which was good, fish and chips was two tiny fish fingers on a bed of chips. The dessert was the worst part, churros served raw, still very doughy in the middle and the brownie was more like a sad thin fudge. Very disappointed, not one person came to ask how the meal was. Avoid.

They are a "restaurant, not a bar", so you can't order individual drinks from the bar. You have to order by table only, and they don't split bills. They should probably change this business model. Also, tacos are served to the 'table', not to individual people... So you have to know exactly which tacos you ordered, and which tacos are on which paddles brought out. If you have a big table, this turns into a nightmare. Nice tacos though...

Customer service was great, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere with the dim lighting. Drink selection is good but drinks are very overpriced! Myself and friends were all a bit taken a back at total bill. I was there for taco Tuesday. Wasn't mind blowing but for $3, cant really complain. Would recommend for after work drinks or a nice date spot

My wife and I just got home from a relaxed night out. We don't come often in the city, and today we tried The Wolf for some drinks and food. We followed some of the recommendations (mid priced, not the more expensive dishes/wines like some other places do) from our waiter and absolutely loved it. The wine was exactly as described and went perfect with our meal. So many venues base recommendations purely on prices and the waitstaff have no clue about the dish or wine. I forgot to leave a tip and wanted to say thanks for the good service. We will definitely come back!

We were rushed before a show at the Opera house, the kitchen was open at 5.30 BONUS. Then the service was freindly and efficient (a hard combination to get right), the ambience was quiet, darkish and comfortable and being a Monday not crowded. Was. better than the photos on their site. To top it all off the wine was diverse both in variety and prices. And the food was fast and delicious. 5pm happy hour with 25% off the bottle +++ Highly recommend. We got to the show on time. Definitely recommend and will return.

The bartenders were the first problem. I found them incredibly rude and unorganised. (This is coming from an ex bartender) It took 3 bar tenders until I was able to get 2 drinks, because apparently reaching into a fridge takes 3 bartenders 10 minutes to do it. The space is poorly designed with too many tables stuffed into too small a space. Get ready to make friends with the 5 people that you will have to ask to get out of their seats to let you out. Would recommend looking somewhere else before deciding on here.
