Wow! Whatta disappointment... I was excited to check this place out afte seeing it's Google reviews but I personally have to say I could not rate this place highly at all... My partner n I ordered 2 crispy chicken burgers n boy oh boy were they bland... No taste at all... I remember while waiting for our order to be ready, a staff member walked into the shop wid a bag of KFC for her lunch... I joked wid my partner asking I wonder why a chicken shop staff member would order from another chicken shop, after eating our burgers I now know why that team member decided to have KFC for lunch instead of having their own product!!!

The chicken burger was great but service was terrible. 3 couples and 2 kids sit down for dinner. There were no other seated customers in the restaurant. They forgot one couples order (fully paid for) all together (they didn't end up eating) & one of the kids burgers was delivered to the table after everyone had finished. Not a great experience. This store could really use some customer service training.

I wish I could give no stars- we couldn’t even eat the food! These guys cover as a pasta restaurant too. This is literally the worst food we’ve ever eaten. Ordered two lasagnes and received a bowl of cold crusty brown mince. 🤮 Don’t expect layers of pasta or any white sauce. I assume they were the end bits. Couldn’t add the sauce, it was stone cold. Told us to come for a refund, so drove all the way there and wouldn’t give one. All the photos aren’t as advertised, and the food looks completely different. SAVE YOUR MONEY and boycott this disgusting place if you actually want to eat your dinner!

Got a 1/2 Portuguese chicken meal (1/2 chicken with chips and a can of drink). $4 extra to switch the chips out for a salad option, ok- little bit annoying as the meal goes to $20 and you don't get any chips if you want a small salad. I just wanted a small side salad which seemed stupid to be near $10. Asked the lady at till if possible to get a meal with a bit of both, thought id be getting a small chips and salad with the chicken and drink for $20 after being charged more... no chips on my plate. Same lady bought the meal out- when I asked about the chips she said "that what you wanted" - then walked away - thanks very much. The chicken was just a roast 1/2 chicken with a dip (choice or garlic or peri peri) was dry and bland and the sauce didn't do much for it. Overpriced and plenty of other options over in Newtown - will stick with Clem's which is cheaper, better and have nice service.

Found Chicky Char Chat through the Eatclub app and was so surprised at the quality of the meal. We had the Portuguese Chicken which was nice, the Alexandria Salad which was full of chicken and the medium would have been enough as a meal on its own. What surprised me was the size and taste of the souvlaki, juicy and full of flavour. Small salad and 1 or 2 Souvlaki would be more then enough for a big eater.
