Drinks are reasonably priced and there is a food option available that’s delivered to your table. Good place to watch a gig and there is an upstairs section. I'd been meaning to checkout out this place for ages. As you walk in, you are greeted by records - records on the walls, records in the crates and even record table numbers! Some great 60's, 70's and 80's stuff. I had a hamburger, and it tasted just like a amazing home made burger. The menu was great for a little place - burger, pizzas and even a little Mexican. Staff were lovely! I'll be back again in the warmer months to check out the outside courtyard area!

Positives - friendly staff, very unique shop Negatives - I know the staff made the best effort, but the food tastes really bad. Improvements - the place smells mouldy (needs a bit of cleaning) The place attracts really strange people (not sure if this meant to be read as a compliment). Whilst waiting for my food,I politely refused to join a group of people in the backyard seating area when asked. It was somewhat sexually inappropriate. I suspect the people were high on drugs and maybe it was just Glebe.

This is my first ever review about a music venue. As a musician, I had a very bad experience on my last visit and I wont be coming back again. There was only one person running the whole venue. he was a bartender and the sound guy who also did not know how to use the sound gear and also made me pay for my drink even though I am coming to play for them. The sound was horrible and I was not taken care of as an Artist. then it turns out that I was one out of many.

Great steak, great atmosphere, friendly staff! Fell in love with The Record Crate when it first opened its doors, and I have been missing it dreadfully since I moved away from Sydney three months ago. Apart from the great food and service, The Record Crate has a goldmine of records that I have had the fortune to peruse (and purchase)! Everything from original Jimi Hendrix to The Kooks vinyls can be found here, only if one is willing to spend a happy hour (or two) looking through the many crates lined up along its walls. Definitely a great place to bring out-of-towners/newbies to the Inner West - it captures the bohemian vibe and great food that the Glebe/Newton areas are best known for.
