Capanos Pizza

Great little suburban Italian/Grill. We had the steak Tomahawk "special" (I suspect it's permanently on the menu) and were very happy with what came to the table. Cooked as requested (MR), generous sides & accompaniments. Staff were pretty good. And the wine list pretty cheap. Every suburb should have a restaurant like this.

My partner and I wanted to try this place as the reviews were really good and the menu had lots of gluten free options. I had the bolognese which was standard, I can’t complain about that particular dish. My partner had a pizza and it was so oily and soggy he couldn’t even pick it up without it falling apart. Very unpleasant to eat and only had two slices. the service was the tipping point - we had sat down for two minutes and were asked twice if we were ready to order. We hadn’t even opened the menu. Then when the waitress took our order we could not hear a word she was saying. We had to ask multiple times. Once we ordered we were then asked by another waiter if we had ordered yet. It was an unpleasant experience and thankfully our last experience. We won’t be returning.

I have visited this restaurant for the first time 4 years ago and had the best experience the food was good and the service was amazing. I have revisited again 2 weeks again I can’t say the same. The steak was over cooked and the staff was extremely rude. I definitely won’t be going back there and wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there.

We visited this restaurant as it was my wife and I's first night out in a while and thought we would support a local business. We had initially made a reservation for 4 people however explained when we arrived that the other party were unable to make it. The lovely hostess placed us on a table of 4 and gave us menus. We were about to order when another waitress stormed over abruptly asking if it was only the two of us and then forcefully told us to move to a nearby table of 2. She was so rude almost like we had asked to be seated at that table when in fact we had been placed there. The food came and we thought that it was overall pretty standard. Clearly there is an issue with that particular waitress as she had issues with other staff members based on their body language and other comments that were made. I would definitely encourage people to dine elsewhere as there are better options in the area.
