No 38 Cafe & Catering

This cafe is absolutely delighting! The owner as well as the people who work there are beautiful and super friendly! Also, they have got the best soup I have ever eaten. Personal favorite is their Leek and Potato Soup !!!! With big difference, it's the best cafe in the whole area. Would definitely come back when I am back around xx

What a great destination for great coffee, cakes, meals and even catering! Shiva is the warm and exceptional owner, her care and commitment to her customers turns them into friends who come back again and again to relax and eat so well. I and my family have been coming here since it opened about five years ago, many good memories and experiences have been had and am looking forward to many more at No :38.

UNPROFESSIONAL AND EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF. The staff is shockingly rude. I was astounded to see how terrible the manager and the waitstaff behaved towards customers for no reason. Heard rumours about the manager's temper, attitude and poor management - finally seen it for real. I will not be returning ever again because the staff at this cafe are very unprofessional and think it is appropriate to shout at customers for no reason at all. The manager shouted at paying customers for multiple errors of her own staff (gave the wrong menu, tried to take away an unfinished coffee, cried in front of another paying customer, forgot our orders, forgot another customers order, got another customer's order wrong twice, stormed away and spoke in a condescending manner when asked a question politely). No business owner should be taking out the frustrations of a failing business (short staff and no customers for 2 weeks allegedly) on customers and refusing to listen to feedback about their experience. The manager was hugely unprofessional. The extremely rude and inappropriately behaved waitress was rude to anyone who was a person of colour and had a real attitude problem. The waitress also proclaimed she was the manager's daughter. I can only imagine why all the good staff and baristas have left this place. If you want burnt coffee, average overpriced food, a bucket load of abuse and repeated mistakes made by unprofessional and rude staff - you're in for a treat. For an enjoyable experience - go somewhere else. Note: comment from Glen Frost is a conflict of interest as he is the owner and the husband of the manager.

Was initially very dissappointed with the service and quality of the coffee. However, after speaking with the owners they kindly gave us 2 complimentary coffees and muffins to make up for it. The quality of the coffee has significantly increased along with the customer service. Happy to say i will be returning.
