The Windsor On Park

Good place to grab a drink in the centre of the city. One bar upstairs that also has pub grub and another bar downstairs. No real ambience to make the place standout. Staff are friendly and even let us take doggy bags for the food we couldn't finish. Food portions were large and with an open kitchen you can see staff prepping the food which is nice. Overall check it out but nothing special to write home about.

Good place in the city for a few drinks, or some food upstairs. Unlike some nearby pubs, the Windsor is clean and bright with really friendly staff. Downstairs is typically a mix of locals and (mainly English) tourists. Food menu on the second floor is good - the quality is great and it's served swiftly. Try anything with chips, they're really good! My only complaint is that there isn't a single vegetarian dish (unless you want a garden salad). Location is good - just a block from Hyde Park and 2 minutes walk to town hall station.

The last 4 experiences here have been failures. Whether its been our group of 10 or 2, always a minimum of 1 or 3 meals forgotten, slow service, half meals bought out 25 minutes apart, no help from staff, when we have been told out meals have been mixed up and not cooked we have do not get any consolation from staff just have to wait another 20 mins for the new meals, no discount no drink offer, which results in eating our meals 5 minutes before we have to leave. Not sure what goes on in the kitchen there but has never been a good experience.
