Fish On Fire

Fish and chips, no fuss. Wait times during the day here are pretty good, it is usually just not particularly crowded on this side of town so that makes sense. Chips are solid, cooked correctly, satisfying. Fish batter not overly thick, pretty standard level of batter, a little greasy as a result but as expected. Some varieties of fish - barramundi and sea perch on top of the standard lot. Grilled if that's your thing. Have I had better? Yes. If I have a craving will this hit the spot? Yes. Service is quick, brief, not much to and fro and that suits me fine.

Came here for the fish, I ended up also ordering the burger for $8 which turned out to be the highlight. Excellent burger, soft bun, scrumptious patty, fresh toppings. I tried the fish and chips which was great as well as the mixed grilled fish platter. And although the mussels were over done and the grilled fish fillet soggy, the flavours were good.

I’ve ordered via Uber Eats numerous times and have always been happy with my food. The portions are very generous and the prices are cheap! I highly recommend the salt & pepper squid, chips & salad. A big fan of the tempura prawns too! Some constructive feedback, they need to pay closer attention to sauces. Although the food is perfect, the sauces are either missing or the wrong flavour.
