The Messenger Cafe

My absolute favourite local spot for lunch! The owner Jenny is one of the nicest most genuine people you will ever meet. I always feel incredibly welcome when I visit. Pyrmont is lucky to have such a gem of a family here. They are now open for dinner and I have ordered an incredible array of healthy Bali inspired dishes. The breakfasts here are incredible and my lunch favourites are salads and healthy smoothies. In this time with all of us trying to boost our immune systems - their menu has incredible items such as fresh squeezed juices and home made remedies full of natural ingredients to ward off any nasty bug! Their home made chicken broths are to die for and my favourite when I get sick is the chicken soup!

I ordered a large coffee this morning, the first coffee was made in error and was handed to me. It felt quite light for the cup size so i opened the lid and found the cup only filled to 3/4. I assumed that this was also an error however when I was handed my re made weaker coffee this was also missing 1/4 of a cup. Very disappointing, fill the cup up if your customer is paying for a large size. I also ordered a halloumi wrap which was so salty it was inedible. Not sure what has happened to this place but I will not be back.

Went to this place as we were staying at Sofitel. Jenny (owner?) at the front was welcoming and recommended burgers and wraps, as it was lunchtime. Wagyu burgers for kids and Perri-Perri chicken burger for me : 10/10 in taste and price. Although we’re only in Sydney for a short trip, we’ll definitely come back and visit. Highly recommended.

This is by far the best cafe in Pyrmont. I have never experienced a better service and I could eat here on a daily basis and never get tired of it. They have amazing and healthy salads, made with fresh ingredients, yummy coffee and treats and you will always feel happy and satisfied after visiting them. I can't recommend this place enough! Jeannie the manager is the best 👌 and make sure you try their tumeric and black sesame latte!

My favorite lunch place in the world! The salad variations are healthy, filling, and frequently changing and the staff is just incredible. I love the team and I'm always amazed how they can be so friendly and energetic every single day of the year. It's a small place that easily grows on you. Messenger can get really busy and you might not always find a table but even during peak times you can expect to get a takeaway salad within 10-15min.
