Chimmi Changa's Burrito Bar

I've tried their whole menu and it is mostly great. Consistently fat burritos and cheesy nachos (i stick with the beef). The churros with the caramel sauce are delicious. However, one of the tacos is way too overdressed with sauce (i believe the fish one) and the addition of the american-style cheeseburger and wings etc are unnecessary and i think some more authentic mexican dishes and variety on the menu, after many years of being open, is necessary. Furthermore, the service is a bit lackluster and the youngsters at the front are always flustered.

To the restaurant, please take this as constructive criticism…. First time trying Chimmi Changas and sadly will be the last. Positive points the beef and pulled pork meats were nice, what I had in my trio of tacos and the chimmi changa. The negatives, the flour tortillas with a “generous serving” of both sour cream and guacamole, unfortunately made a gluey consistency giving me indigestion straight away. Feeling like I had eaten lead. The Chimmi changa a good serving was the saving grace, being cooked on the outside of it. The sauce was also good. If you could toast the tortilla for the tacos a little or use corn tortillas and ease up on the sour cream that was over a small tablespoon of meat. For $18… more meat would be nice. I also asked for cabbage and got none. The only reason we tried Chimmis’ was due to the fact our favourite Taco restaurant was not open.

Disappointed… won’t recommend I went here with lot of hopes to get Mexican food but it tasted nothing like it. I ordered for pulled chicken nachos - it didn’t taste like loaded nachos at all, there were few black beans which was very dry, the base sauce was very thin layer, pulled chicken and some cheese. It didn’t taste anything like the loaded nachos I have had. When I asked for salsa, they gave me bottled pasta sauce which was heated n served to me. What a waste of money. Next was pulled beef burrito - again it was very poorly made, the black beans were dry and the wrap was all soggy even before we could eat it. The burrito was 19$ and was not filling as per the price - low in quality. I won’t recommend this place for Mexican food.
