Jawani Indian Restaurant

Jawani in Croydon park is a nicely set up neighbourhood gem. The walls are painted with colourful murals and the tables have gold patterned table cloths. The service provided by the owner Gary is welcoming and friendly. Not to mention the had a great music playlist for improved ambiance. The chef at Jawani also served up some quality Punjabi cusine. The mixed meat platter is a good way to start, with a super tasty lamb chops, chicken tika, vege samosa and pakora's and a serving of freshly made raita. The curries were all top notch, rich and full of flavour and you can choose the spice level. The goat curry was a favourite, the palak paneer was more-ish and and of course we had the obligatory naan bread to mop up any left over sauce, we opted for garlic. Make sure you save some room for dessert. I know they aren't traditional Indian desserts, heck there is nothing Indian about a sizzling chocolate brownie or a white chocolate mousse with mango. But this did not faze us, despite being pretty full from the preceding delectables, we still managed to polish off these tasty desserts. A great Indian restaurant serving generous portions of quality food. The pricing is also reasonable with all mains under $20 and, as an added bonus they do BYO, so grab a nice bottle of wine and pay them a visit.

Went there with my wife tonight and ordered the butter chicken, cheese & garlic naan and samosas. The food was delicious and we would definitely recommend this place. Do note however that the portions at this place are less than those you might be used to at other Indian restaurants especially for the prices they charge. The service tonight was a little slow as well from the waiter and the kitchen (took about 40mins for main course to be served)

My friend has been telling me nice the food is at Jawani. So tonight I went there with her and she was right. The food was delicious. I tried everything we ordered and loved everything. Its a taste sensation. I'm not a big eater but I couldn't stop eating. If you like Indian Cuisine you will love this place.

Food was sumptuous. But service was not up to the mark. The person who was serving us didn't have the etiquettes that how to deal with the customers. If once a payment is decline due to issues he will simply point out your credit balance statement which in my opinion is getting on personal grounds. Rest food is very good thumbs up 👍🏻

Had a very bad experience. The food is not great. Took very long to serve and we were the only ones at the restaurant. No lights, tables were not arranged. One person trying to handle everything. We were 5 and there was table only for 4 or 6. The person made us to sit on the 6 people table which had no cutlery, napkins. He didn't even bother to ask or arrange them. We ordered for 2 entrees, 2 main dish, few.rotis. it took more than 30 minutes to get.served. with no plates and spoons. We had to take it.from.the other table. Food was spoiler. Not great. Waste of money and time.
