Mcafe

I had to explain my order 3 time just to make sure they got it right. Then they forgot my avocado and it seems like there was a bit of confusion to get it to my table. This place has so much potential as the set-up is amazing and the food is pretty tasty. I hope my poor experience was just a one off.

For a McDonald's restaurant, this cafe is quite different in that it's located next to the hospital, and therefore most likely has tried to tailor it's menu for the more appropriate health industry. Breakfast options are healthy, however you can still order a bacon and egg roll, which has spinach on it. The hash browns are identical to what you would get at a regular McDonald's. Their lunch menu offers a selection of options, from loaded fries to a simple toastie, yoghurt, or banana bread. Coffee is hit and miss here, I think it really depends who is making it as I've had burnt coffee and great coffee from here. In my opinion the coffee here is still better than what you would get at the hospital next door! Good location with plenty of seating inside and outside. Very clean. Overall, professional service with a clean, welcoming environment.

Is this a McDonalds or a regular cafe? I am confused. I ordered a toastie and a takeaway coffee. The toastie was tasty, but I was extremely disappointed in the inexact manner in which my toastie was sliced. It was incredibly difficult to eat this due to the disproportionate sizes (see photo). Actually it was all surprisingly good for a McCafe.

Decided to drive up to McDonald’s Camperdown and ordered mcchicken meals and Big Mac meals. The drive through operator didn’t seem to understand me and kept yelling the wrong thing out. She then decided and asked me to go to her window counter to order the food. Finally all sorted out and when I got my meal, the large chips was a medium chips and the large drink was half full. I really think they need to retrain the staff there as the service was going down hill. I never had this issue at McDonald’s Haymarket or the one at darling harbour. It happened a few times now in McDonald’s Camperdown. Very disappointed and I don’t think the staff there are trained properly.
