Passiontree Velvet

Positives: Loved their macaroons! That’s the only reason I go there. I’m still in search of best ones though. Lots of varieties of macaroons available and taste fresh. Not very expensive but a fair price. Negatives Bad customer service. She was a white woman, all by herself. When I asked her if Mocha Macaroons were available (as I couldn’t see it on the display), she with an off tone said that they’ve replaced it with a new flavour. Fare, but the fact that she could have said it nicely. No smile, which doesn’t bother me that much but when it’s no smile and bad attitude, it disappoints me as a customer. They definitely need to check their staff on their customer service. 2 stars are for their macaroons only.

We ordered our wedding cake from Passiontree Velvet and absolutely loved it! The cake met our design brief perfectly, it was so beautiful and well priced and the communication from the team (especially Aileen) was great. We also enjoyed being able to pick up our cake tasting box when suits us. Definitely a benefit during a global pandemic!

Service is really good and I love the atmosphere they create, I almost forgot to be in a shopping centre. The desserts are really beautiful. The only reason why I don’t give 5 stars it’s because my raspberry meringue cake was not as perfect as it looks like. I mean the taste was ok, but the sponge cake was a bit hard, not as soft as it should be. But I like this place and I suggest to go there anyway.

With a fantastic range of pastries and sweets, this open cafe is situated in the food court level of Broadway Shopping Centre. If you're looking for somewhere to go, to have a nice treat with a friend or by yourself, this is the place. Typically, the cakes and sweet treats average at around $9, but they have a fantastic $10 deal which includes a choice from three specific cakes and tea of your choice. Staff are quick to process the sale and bring out the food.

In the newly refurbished food court of Broadway shopping centre, this little cafe looks so inviting with their cabinet displaying many delectable & beautiful looking cakes & macarons. I have tried a range of cakes like the chocolate truffle, blueberry cheesecake, red velvet and carrot cakes and also savouries like the ham & cheese croissant and poached eggs with toast. Most are delicious & savoury options are well made given the small kitchen. In terms of cakes, chocolate truffle cake was a little dry & the red velvet just sweet with red colouring and not a true red velvet. The others were enjoyable. Coffees are well made & strong and a range of nice teas are available. Matcha latte is too sweet for my liking but thats personal preference.

The customer service was great but I was a bit disappointed with my red velvet cake. Not that it wasn’t great but it just wasn’t as good as I expected (was a bit stale). Price was around $8 per slice for this one. If you’re a macaroon fan there’s a lot of flavours to choose from though I haven’t tried any of them yet.
