This place is wonderful.
While the sandwiches’ price points seem normal (for the inner west of course), the portion size is amazing. I had to takeaway half to eat it for dinner. Even when the toasted bun lost its crunch, I found it very tasty.
Their current soup of the day, toasted zucchini, was also a pleasant surprise. The base has a lightness to it that couples so well with the sprinkled danish feta. I didn’t care for the zucchini noodles, but then again I hate “noodlefied” veggies in general (what’s the point???). The soup came with two pieces of easy white bread.
Tldr: GREAT PLACE!

Great little Cafe. Food was fresh tasty and well priced. Lamb ragu gnocchi was yummy. Coffee smooth.
The service was fast and friendly.
Outdoor sunny seats as well.

This is a little hidden gem at the back of Newtown and RPA. They have some fresh snacks like cheese tarts and muffins along with to order dishes from the kitchen. Coffee is quick and good. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The seating is cozy and also has an outdoor area in pleasant surrounds.

It’s not on the Newtown Main Street makes this cafe Local feeling. I had banana bread take away which was fine, would love to try proper meal next time.

Great little local cafe with good coffee, no fuss breakfast menu and a chilled out atmosphere. I had the Cordial breakfast with poached eggs. The toast was amazing, and it's the only place in Sydney that I've found that serves a real sausage with their "big breakfast".

I have given Cordial 3 stars instead of my previous 5. I have been at cordial a few times over the past 8 weeks and something has changed. The tables and floor are clean. The hot chocolate I had today was beautiful. I have enjoyed the food here but it's not as good as it was. The food over the past 8 weeks has been ok, but it used to be so much better. Perhaps there has been a change of owner or chef. I'm happy to go back and see if it changes but I'm also happy to try other places now.
