Dee Why Chinese Restaurant

Good old fashioned Chinese Food. Happy service and quick to serve. We ordered Squid with Ginger and Shallot. Probably will not order that again. The squid was very chewy and difficult to bite through, the shallot was replaced with onion (if we had been told this,we would not have ordered) and the big chunks of ginger ended up in a napkin. The Sizzling Lamb was absolutely beautiful. The Sang Choy Bow was a welcome treat and enjoyed by our guests, who tried it for the first time. The Mixed Chinese Vegetables were a nice accompaniment and the Deep Fried Ice Cream was devine. Would happily recommend, just stay away from the squid

One of my favourite Chinese Restaurant's and definitely my go to dinner in dee why. Would highly recommended the mongolian beef and Honey chicken. Staff are really nice and accommodating. The only reason for the 4 stars would be that they don't work with any delivery company. It'd be really nice to see them on Door Dash or Menu Log.

We had a home delivery that was very overdue, 45 minutes past the advised 45 minute delivery time. The mixed entree was so greasy, it almost turned the paper delivery bag into a mess of greasy pulp. The chicken and ham roll tasted so bad we couldn’t eat it. The fried rice was quite tasteless. Mongolian lamb and combination omelette were nice. Penang chicken curry and the sweet and sour pork had a very unpleasant artificial taste, they should find a better pre-made sauce to use. Would never recommend and will never use again.

Came here on a Thursday lunch. Ordered duck curry and fried rice. The duck came out quite quickly but consisted of large barely edible chunks of duck. I commented to my friend that it tasted more like what a bush turkey might taste like. The vegetables were likewise very unappealing - carrots, bamboo, etc. and almost no hint of curry or really flavour of any kind. Even though I was hungry I could eat barely half of the horrid meal. The fried rice was slightly better as were the honey prawns my friend ordered. Even now the thought of that awful duck meal almost makes me shudder. Terrible.
