Yakiniku Yokocho

Had a great meal with a few friends here. The wait on a Friday night was a bit intense but I think we all thought it was worth it. The ambiance is good and in general the quality of the meats is very nice. We did feel like the grill wasn’t super hot, but we still managed to get some nice char on our mountains of beef. A really surprise was the stewed of meat; that stuff was addictive!!! A great reasonably priced and good quality yakiniku place in the city.

An enjoyable place the eat Japanese barbecue. Firstly, you must book here especially on a weekend as there are a lot of people waiting here. The food was quite nice with the meat having good marbling and taste. The grill also gave the meat a subtle char and smoky flavour. The marinates also made the meat taste good alongside with the dipping sauces. The table was quite spacious and large. Ordering on an iPad was simple and food came out quite quick. However, the meal is quite expensive costing us around $40 per person to be somewhat full. The items on the menu were missing such as lettuce and some salads which a bit unfortunate as we wanted to get them. Changing the grill costs $2 which is a bit petty to me and they are one use only compared to a reusable grill. Overall an enjoyable meal with good meat.

Loved visiting! They have amazing marinated meats especially the MUST TRY boneless beef short ribs which we ordered twice. It's delicious either accomodating staff, lovely atmosphere and delicious food. The only downside is the price but it's worth it for celebrations and with larger groups! Also be sure to arrive early or book as it can get quite busy. (The pork ribs are also pretty good! )

Extremely fast service! Tasted amazing! Love the vibe! I really enjoyed my visit here which in fact paid a second visit 2 days after my first time dining here 😂 I am a big fan of yakiniku and this was the first restaurant I tried in Sydney. Definitely worth a visit if you would like to try Japanese bbq. Meat quality is exceptional!
