Had yum cha for dinner on a Saturday night 5.30 PM. It was fairly quiet and the checking in process was easy peasy! The food was also delicious, my favourite was the prawn and chives dumplings and the salted egg prawns! Friendly service, highly recommended! I had yum Cha awhile ago, that was also a great experience 😀

Actually delicious food, served promptly by adequate waitstaff. And that's the one star covered. Unfortunately, the restaurant, namely the manager, spoiled an enjoyable meal in one swift comment. After walking past several times and hovering in the background, mid-meal my friend was told to 'take care of her kid'. A 10 month old baby in a high chair eating rice. Not yelling. Not screaming, Not deliberately throwing food and making eye contact out of spite with staff while doing so. No. Just a well-behaved baby and three adults having lunch together. In the same sitting, we overheard at least 3 other parties who had been mistreated or had elements of their meal completely missing. When my friend asked the speak to the manager, he was all of a sudden nowhere to be found! Almost 10 minutes later (we'd already paid and were waiting at the door) he turned up and we spoke with him. He was indignant and lacked all accountability for his manner and choice of words. We didn't ask for a refund, simply some acknowledgement and an apology. Didn't happen. A very disappointing experience. We will not be back.

My previous experience some years ago was disappointing but decided to give it another go since a friend hasn't been there before. This time we enjoyed the yumcha especially the chicken feet, prawn dumplings, BBQ pork pastry and pork spare ribs. Prices were a bit higher than I remember but then the cost of living has increased. Average cost about $43pp.

Have been many times pre covid and happy with food and service. First time post covid and the staff were incredibly rude, the yum cha trolleys by passed us at high speed or not at all except for 3 trolley each with 2 dishes, the same 2, that went past 3 times ... in TWO hours. When I tried to order something I got an eye roll and a random wave away "ask someone else". And we were charged $15 for cold chinese broccoli. I ended up walking out still hungry and looking for somewhere else to getfood when we're in town ... sad end of an era for what was a great restaurant.
