Do not waste your money! Although the lady attending my makeup was beautiful. She couldn’t communicate as her English was very limited. She requested I show some photos of the style I wanted in which I did and she confirmed this was possible and began to style my hair. Unfortunately it looked nothing like the photo and I was extremely unhappy. The manager then came over and was rude and told the lady to change it to curls. However, because there was so much (cheap, supermarket hair spray used) it made it extremely difficult to restyle. I then left with hair that I wasn’t happy with, that also looked dirty due because of the cheep spray used. The lady who attended my makeup was again beautiful however the makeup wasn’t finishes and the products used were cheap ($30 for lashes too!) I then went to pay and the manager asked what exactly it was that I had booked in for. I said it was some months ago and that I couldn’t remember. She then asked who I spoke too, I then said I couldn’t remember. They seemed very unsure of their pricing and wanted to charge me the same price as my sister who had an upstyle, makeup and a glass of sparkling. The manager continued to be rude and abrupt. I asked if there was a contact number/email for the owner so I could provide some feedback in which was declined. We went back to our hotel before the event and re did our hair and makeup. Such a shame… This salon has so much potential however needs a big overhaul, a fresh/new approach and a new manager.

Nothing Lux about it at all. Quite uncomfortable chairs, can’t imagine how anyone thought sitting on a high stool through a blow dry would be the best thing to do! The blow dry itself did not make it to the next day with greasy roots which makes me think it wasn’t washed properly to begin with. My hair felt damp at the roots even when it was apparently done and on providing the feedback, the response was I have a lot of hair! No product considerations after like a serum oil or a spray unless you ask! Would not recommend at all, many better options nearby.

Blown Lux were very accomodating in servicing our group of 6 for a hens party, despite being short staffed due to covid. It is a great big space and nice atmosphere, very central to all the restaurants and bars in Barangaroo. We all left with great hair which lasted well into the night, many thanks. I can highly recommend Rachel - she made us feel very welcome and comfortable. I think the other stylist was Taryn. She did a good job on the hair, but her communication was not as good as Rachel. If you are looking for friendly service ask for Rachel.

Absolutely worst experience ever. Don’t waste your money! Worst customer service, not qualified, had no idea what they were doing. Such a rip off. I walked out was absolutely devastated. Wouldn’t pay for the service, going back to the hotel to redo everything before my event tonight. Wouldn’t provide details for a manager, were out of supplies, didn’t even know their pricing! $30 for lashes!!! That weren’t

Absolutely disgraceful experience. Do not give this company your hard earned cash. I was served by Taryn who seemed to be the manager on the day (Saturday). I went to get my hair washed and styled to treat myself before an outing with my best friend who I hadn’t seen in months. Taryn made me feel so incredibly uncomfortable the whole time I was there, she ridiculed the lovely young apprentice that was nothing but polite and sweet to her, she watched every move she made and pulled her up on absolutely everything she did, she spoke to her loudly and so rudely i was so embarrassed, I nearly had to interrupt I felt awful and anxious the whole time that someone could treat their staff so poorly when all she was doing was trying to please her and get it right, my whole experience was ruined by Tarin telling her everything she did was wrong and sighing and huffing at her. This girl has more respect than I because I would have told someone this horrible to stick their job long ago. This is expensive for $75 to wash and dry my hair and do some basic curls (which was NOTHING like the photo on their website that I asked for) this is meant to be a treat and something you do for fun and to spoil yourself all I felt was anxious the whole time and she ruined the whole experience and also my day. DO NOT GO HERE. People who treat others like that shouldn’t get your business. I hope that young girl reads this and finds a job elsewhere and never stop smiling because someone else is unhappy with who they are not you.
