Jg's Cafe

Great location on the UNSW campus for a healthy lunch. This cafe serves a wide variety of pastas, salads, sandwiches, focaccias, rolls and pastries to your taste and all made fresh daily. Not to mention the quality of coffee served throughout the day. Never look past those great potato salads or even a sausage roll. This place offers plenty of space to conduct meetings, take a break or even find some place to privately work. Great place for staff and you won't find many students here.

Unfriendly staff (namely older woman behind the counter), yells at customers. Food is also pretty bland and tasteless. Go somewhere else for lunch/coffee (coffee tasted like dirty water). Poor service, poor food. I would give it a 0/5 if that was an option. Please don't go here- it will ruin your mood as well as your appetite. Management should teach staff to not scream at paying customers. :( 8/11/19

Today I ordered some salads and there was a Philippino lady (elderly, short not the other one) who was taking order. With her first glance she didn't like me. With my order I asked for cheese (which is an usual thing with my everyday order). She didn't listen. She was not even listening what i said. It was not even busy. It was 1030 in the morning. Then I reminded her she was very unhappy. She kindda treated me as I was asking for free food. I became so upset I didn't ask for the usual sauce i order. I have been an academic here for 8 years. Eating in this cafe for ever and I never had such bitter experience before. She was surprised with my choice of salads and gave me crossed eye brow look. I felt like V down. Please there is a request do not employ stupid and manner less ppl like this. She killed my appetite. You better train her to smile and learn sm mannerisms while serving in such a beautiful cafe and in a place like uni.
