My parents ordered their meals and it never came out so I asked what was wrong after 30mins of waiting .. and they said the chicken needs to be cooked for awhile in the oven. Then it took another 10 mins, so 40mins all up. 1. On the menu it was described as grilled chicken so I’m pretty sure that means it gets grilled not baked in an oven? 2. It shouldn’t take 40mins for chicken to be cooked in an oven (also the chicken had grilled marks on it) 3. I genuinely think they forgot and tried to act like it was our fault for ordering the chicken 4. Wouldn’t you tell us before ordering the chicken that it would take 40mins? Just a bit confusing. Coming from someone who has worked in hospitality for 7 years .. Staff need to be trained properly, couldn’t pour a beer with good amount of head and didn’t know what food they were serving. Red wine was stale because they have too many and clearly only sell a few different types. If I made a customer wait 40 mins for food I would offer a discount or a drink .. or at least a decent apology.

Sunday afternoon Sessions - Some of the best talant in Sydney play every Sunday afternoon, all of them are top shelf but our favorites are Bernie Segedin & Peter Northcote. They are a pretty special duo and singularly are extremely talented, Bernie’s soaring vocals and Peters incredible versatile Guitar playing make them amongst the best anywhere on the planet. If you haven’t visited The Public on a Sunday afternoon, then you are missing out on therapy for your ears and soul, BTW the food and drinks and the venue are also very nice, brought to you by entrepreneurial brother’s Harris " Singer Extrondanaire" and Artie "Da DJ" Stamos. Please keep up the good work guys and Keep music Live.

Have had two Christmas dinners planned here and both were a huge success! The staff went above and beyond to make sure our guests were well looked after and had a great time. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great and customer service was excellent - look forward to planning more events here :)
