This was a great Dine In experience, the service was impeccable and friendly the food delicious... I highly recommend the fish with black bean sauce (as seen in the picture with Broccoli). Parking in Potts Point is challenging so be prepared to walk and book ahead as this place can get busy.

I am trying hard to find something good to say about this place. The food was mediocre and the service was so horrible. Having paid $85pp I would have expected much, much more.
Firstly our reservation was at 6:15pm our mains did not arrive until 7:45pm. I had complained twice. First time to our waiter at 7:30pm, then second time to the manager at 7:40pm. The waiter was friendly said that he would check, however when I politely reminded the manager 10mins later he aggressively barked at me “it is coming!”
Our crispy beef strips came out cold, the roast duck was soggy. The pork was nothing special, I would have expected that quality from a food court takeaway store at $2 per box at closing time. Cold but still crunchy and for $2 I can’t complain. But at $34 it was awful.
The roast duck with lychee sounded good on paper. I expected a good balance between savory, sour and sweet. However it came out salty and because we had gotten the dish soggy, the duck felt oily and fatty. The lychee did nothing to cut through the grease. This was the first time in my entire life to leave roast duck unfinished as it is my all time favourite dish.
The rice came out with a spoon stuck in middle. Although I’m not superstitious, in Chinese culture you only serve food items with utensils stuck in them when you are honouring the dead. It is taboo and extremely rude in Chinese culture and for a Chinese fusion restaurant I had expected them to at least be culturally appropriate.
I gave them one star because the waiter did apologise to us twice. He then shouted us some cocktails and dessert, however the manager who was rude to me never even came out, let alone offer an apology.
Also, do not expect this restaurant to clear out your plates between entrées and mains. I have included a picture of how cramped our table during the mains.
Final tip: do NOT get a two hour parking spot as I had to move my car before our roast duck arrived. Find a spot that has at least four hours.

This evening I dined in at Fei Jai for my birthday and I’m, to say the least, very disappointed in my experience. We are aware of a 2 hour call time for our table, but we arrived a few minutes after our scheduled booking, of which our friends were already seated waiting for us. There wasn’t a warm welcome and the service from the start, just was very mediocre. The wait staff put so much emphasis on the call time that it didn’t allow us to relax into our celebratory dinner and just kept us on edge. There was no attention to detail from our waiter. He did not greet us, we did not know his name, he didn’t ask us if we didn’t help with the menu or any recommendations, just felt like a number and certainly not a valued customer. Our friend then waited the length of the other 4 of us nearly finishing our mains before she got her vegetarian based dish of noodles. The barman and waiter had to be promoted several times to ask for her dish. Not a great situation when all others are at the table eating. As we were finishing the waiter then simply asked if we would like the bill and prompted to us about the time factor yet again, then after we paid, we briefly we were finishing our discussion when he came back again and said as he had already mentioned previously that the table had a 2 hour call time and that he needed us to leave.
All in all, very disappointed in the service we were provided. When you’re spending a lot of money for a birthday celebration, you expect to leave the establishment to which you’ve picked for your celebration in a good mood, we we did not. There was no mention of a happy birthday from our waiter either and lastly, we were not even offered dessert. All in all, did not feel valued as a customer.

Always loved the food at Fei Jai, but come on! The prices are not proportionate to a 7/10 or so taste rating. Aside from a side of plain rice, the cheapest menu item on offer was a $10 lamb spring roll entree. I remember having them here YEARS ago and thought I’d take a trip down memory lane so ordered one (each dish has two spring rolls). They tasted just as good as I remembered but the spring rolls were literally shorter than my finger!!! (I have average length fingers too). Wish I thought to take a photo before I swallowed them all in one bite.

Oh you don't want to put sauce on your sweet and sour pork? You think people want dry rice and dry meat when paying $40 for a simple dish? Here, have a one star review.

Overpriced and terrible food. A small serving suitable for only one person of fried rice. Which was boiled rice with 3 prawns thrown in 26 dollars. The eggplant and shiitake mushrooms was soggy and tasted only of aniseed. Do not bother going to this restaurant for the food. The staff are very attentive

Nice place with nice atmosphere and view but average food and service. I had to ask for clean plates and cutlery between the courses, waiter just grabbed the cutlery and put it on the dirty table without any serviettes - which wouldnt be that big problem as Im not a princess but when you consider the price and selfpresentation of the restaurant I would expect much more

Supermarket chili sauce is usually a bad portent. Here, it was trending away from disaster, despite the paint by numbers pseudo Chinese, China doll wannabe menu. The food came quickly and the ingredients were mid quality, cleanly prepared....albeit bland as a 5 star concrete pavement. Service started friendly and efficient, and slowly deteriorated....a forgotten dish was quickly replaced, though silently. After we finished our mains, they were cleared, and the bill presented..."gee, I liked the look of the dessert menu"...no answer, as the machine was brought with all the service culture of someone on the wrong end of a basket of fries. "Pity, I really was looking forward to dessert "...nothing...did my photo resemble an identikit of the guy that stole your car? Guess so. This place isn't bad. It just isn't anything anyone would ever remember, for flavour, authenticity or dining experience.
