Beautiful venue with a big imposing open bar. Finishes are great but from there it’s all a bit middle of the road. Food’s ok but not great. Beers are mostly in tins and if you ask for a glass they pour it into a pint glass. Steak roll served with a butter knife not a steak knife. Service is efficient but not friendly or even warm. A venue where a little direction and purpose will turn a three star experience into a five star experience.

What a great experience. Drink beer and draw naked people. There is no final exam, take your charcoal and your pad and enjoy the ambience. Last time I checked it was $7.00 for entry every Monday night from 6pm until 9:30pm (approx). Not being an art school graduate my first life drawing experience was awkward in the sense that I was self conscious in regards to my life drawing ability. It doesn’t matter. Any level, any experience or zero experience you find a seat, but a beer and simply enjoy creating a personal life drawing catalogue. I think it’s a great idea for a second Tinder date. It opens up the conversation and if you go with a date match I think it gives you the upper hand in the unique dating stakes. This review is preciously about the Art House hotel on Pitt Street Sydney not the hotel as a whole. Though I have had enough beers at the Art House Hotel to recommend it as a worthy drinking hole. The building that the Art House Hotel resides has a great history in Sydney. The building was in the early days of the 20th century as a centre for the understanding of Australia’s First Nation Peoples. If in Sydney make sure you experience the Monday night life drawing. Experience public nudity (life drawing) create and drink beer. Awesome.

What a great venue in the CBD but seriously needs some improvements. Menu is okay but the food was very average. Only one beer on tap, expected more in this venue but wine list & the cocktail choices were pretty good. This is a spacious area with comfortable seating but it was not heated and far to cold to relax & enjoy your meal. Staff are friendly and tried hard but they were very under resourced.

lots of space and is a nice bar to go whether you're looking for a drink after work, or amore there to appreciate the art. they hold life drawing classes as well as have a cocktail bar upstairs with an amazing little window that looks out onto the bottom floor of the bar if you like to people watch (or, get a drink and sketch people) it also has outside seating for the summer time and lots of natural lighting as well as a scholarly feel to make everyone feel like they're attending art school! So easy to get to as it's on the back of the Galleries and can be entered via the Galleries or Pitt St

I really liked the decor. Unfortunately after waiting an hour our meals still hadn't arrived. Upon questioning this were were told there had been some system glitch. Being that we had a show to get to, waiting again wasn't an option. Obviously I can't rate the food and the staff were apologetic so I couldn't leave a one star.

I had my wedding reception with the Arthouse Hotel at the end of March 2021. The venue was absolutely amazing. Intimate, warm, funky and spacious! The staff and venue coordinator especially Caitlin Henshaw helped me through planning and creating the magical night from late 2019 before covid19 pandemic hit. We managed to plan and execute an awesome evening and everyone had a blast! I recommend this venue for your next function be it a wedding or celebration, it’s the best.

Group of 4 went for lunch, one meal arrived quickly, then one more 25mins later, then the final 2 arrived another 10mins after that. One of them was a vegan dish and they had ran out of tofu so replaced it with cheese without even checking if it was ok! Service slow and food very average, unfortunately.
