Amazing hotel with a cool aesthetic. Staff were friendly and looked after us for a special occasion, but didn't go through the free mini-bar policy (may be in the process of being revised in future as the website stated "select items" as complimentary, even though it all was when we visited. We will certainly be back. A bit out of the way for inner city adventures but good to stretch the legs. Great for Darling Harbour.

Was impressed with the lobby walking in. Nice moody lighting, bar and mismatched lounges and the lolly bar. Such a friendly welcome from Troy and Rose. We were upgraded to the split level loft room as our room was affected by the heavy rain recently. Had a lovely birthday surprise when we entered. Room was clean and great amenities including free mini bar and a goody bag. Bed was very comfortable and good shower pressure. Free drink at social hour and then we were given a tasty toasted cheese sandwich to go with our wines, we also tried some nice cocktails. The continental breakfast was also a good way to start the day with a variety of musli, breads, spreads and few other items. Location is great within walking distance to what the city has to offer or the light rail. Would definitely stay again.

Currently really enjoying a stay here. Really nice style but the staff make this place a 5 star experience. Front desk really friendly for check in and the bar staff great to chat to and helpful. On that the selection of drinks available is really broad, definitely some unique things to try. Clean rooms, clean bathrooms. Amazon Alexa Echo and smart tv in all the rooms which is a bonus. Very happy I chose to stay here on a Sydney trip.

I have to say for a small hotel the attention to detail and attentive staff was amazing. They include a free mini bar which is topped up daily and includes lager, wine, red bull and coke. There was also a bag of crisps and chocolates waiting in the room. The hotel is steeped in history and I love how it has been maintained, the lovely old rustic beams and the timber floor. The location is excellent being a couple of streets back from the harbour.

We had the most wonderful time at Ovolo. It has everything that you'd expect from a good city hotel (central location / clean / comfortable / good aircon / quiet rooms). However what makes it truly great is its staff. They were all super friendly, caring and accommodating people, and they went above and beyond to make our stay as lovely as possible! They wrote us a lovely message on the mirror one night, gave us free beers, let us use the shower - after checking out - before our flight back to Melbourne etc.... A great experience in a great location! The rooms are clean & good sizes, love the art work on the walls,staff are great very nice great service, has everything you could need,dinning/lobby is a relaxing & calming experience to enjoy your time. Definitely looking forward to going back for a longer stay very soon. This hotel is a must!

Excellent customer service. I booked a hotel room on a deal but forgot to notice the deal was associated with a no cancellation policy. I always book with free cancellation policy but of course the one time I don't I get COVID. They were nice enough to allow a rebook within 3 months, honouring the same deal with no penalty. Very grateful

We could not fault anything with our recent 2 night stay at The Ovolo. From the minute we walked into the hotel we were made to feel welcome. The lovely Jane & other staff couldn't do enough for us. Loved the quirky & intimate vibe of the hotel as well as it's location to Darling Harbour and the light rail. Such a hidden city gem. We will definitely be staying again.
