The Gozleme Co

Spinach and Cheese Gozleme was advertised on the board for $9. When I went to pay, the lady said $12 and pointed at the small notice on the counter announcing a price increase. I thought a 33% hike was a bit much but I already ordered so couldn't be bothered to cancel. I ordered the Spinach and Cheese with chilly flakes and guess what??? Yup, no chilly flakes. The gozleme I had was a little under cooked. The pastry tasted a little more doughy than usual. Would I come back? Definitely not. Best gozleme with the best customer service would be located at Birkenhead point food court. Will be avoiding "The Gozleme Co" from now on.

Went to ask what time they close they said we close kitchen at 4:30 we close at 5pm. I said well on google it says 5:30pm on Fridays. I told them that deceiving to the customer and if they truly close earlier they need to change their time that is advertised. The ladies just stared at me like it was funny. Very unprofessional. I advised them to pass this message onto their boss and I would also give them a one star for this. Didn’t want to order food for it to get soggy if I needed it later 25 mins for someone else

Whilst the food was ok (nothing special), the service and store environment makes me wish we went elsewhere to eat. Firstly, it took over 15 mins for them to make,cook and serve 2 gozleme; and we were the only customer. The store was freezing cold and blaring with arabic music like it was a wedding. At least keep the volume at a reasonable level. Finally, for food that is eaten with hands, they had no napkins or tissues to provide us to clean up afterwards. The two young women working there really need to lift their service skills. Wasted $30. Should have gone directly to the food court or across to Nando's.

I'm not usually in favour of bad reviews, but I had to post this to warn others. They put a sign at the front and on their menu board about a $5 lunch offer between 2 and 5pm, but when you go into the shop to ask for it they tell you the offer does not exist anymore. False and misleading just to attract you inside and trap you, where you will then be embarrassed and stuck into ordering something else. Unacceptable and illegal!
