Red Chilli Glebe

Food was tasty and there was plenty of it for two. This is not hot pot I was used to (I have had a great deal in my life) and wish it was explained to me on how it worked. The pot with broth has a grate siting on the top so seafood could be steamed, visually, it was great but then I couldn't get to the actual broth to eat. I worked it out myself. The servers are nice, but won't tend to you unless you get up and seek them out. It's a a restaurant that caters to the Chinese population so the 'service' is a bit different is all. Only gripe I had is I bought a Groupon that included wine but upon arrival, they told us it didn't so I ordered a bottle and paid separately. That was slightly disappointing but did not ruin experience for us.

The flavours of the dishes were great for the taste buds and delicious. The chilli wasn't the really hot type which was a relief and left my lips tingling which made it very enjoyable and wanting more. The staff were very nice and attentive. The meals were served to the table quickly which was perfect. The atmosphere felt like being in another country which is why I would go to a place like this. We didn't have the hot pot though I plan come back and try next time. The variety of dishes we had were lovely. I was really impressed with this place and would recommend giving it a go.

Very average food quality - hot pot vegetables were not fresh and some of them were frozen. Ordered the hot pot soup base on a mid spicy and it turned out to be salty but not spicy. Poor customer service, have to go to the counter by yourself if you want something. Unskilled staff as they forgot my order and I have to chase it up for a few times. Overpriced based on the food quality and the service received - $135 for 2 persons with hot pot, even though there was a 10% off discount applied, drinks and platter were excluded in the discount offer. Overall, I'm so regarded that I chose this restaurant rather than the one next to it - and no wonder during the dinner time on a Friday night the other restaurant was packed but this is one soooo quite. Got stomatchache the next day as well! Never come back again!

I went there with a large group and ordered the dry hot pot. It came way after everyone else's food and even though we asked several times for them not to add chilli to it, it came with chilli oil, dry and fresh chillies (also with the wrong veggies we ordered). When we pointed out that that our order was wrong, they took it to the kitchen and came back with the SAME dish plus a bowl of hot water so we could rinse our food. Never going back there again.

We ordered fish in this restaurant . The food is not fresh at all! When the food is served in the first place, we found that it looks like it had been cooked couples of hours ago. We do not like arguing with others, so we did not complain about it during the dinner. We just have parts of the food, instead. But I cannot even believe that I and my wife threw up after the dinner one by one because of their stale food. Still feel sick now. I am very angry. This restaurant destroyed our weekend. Will never never never visit it again.

Ok, if I am craving a super spicy hot pot, and I don't want to make it at home, I don't mind coming here. Their spicy and numbing hot pot is not -bad- but I don't know if it is worth the price tag. You're really paying around $30-50 for the pleasure of cooking you're own food. You can do it yourself at home for about a third of the price. Don't forget the arm and a leg they charge for sauces too!
