This place located at Sussex Centre Food court. The price is very reasonable and big portion. I usually order their signature Salted Chicken with rice which is good. The Roast Pork dry noodle is good too I order that when I wanted a noodles dish. All the food here come with a soup which is nice. Today I tried the roast chicken tomato rice with a fried egg and soup. Chicken was good with a crisp skin but the tomato rice was a bite too sour for me I prefer the vietnamese style tomato rice that is not too sour and has no onion. A good place for decent cheap eats.

Ordered the dice beef fillet with rice at $11.80. It came with a free soup - there were a range of self serve sauces. For the price it was a decent feed. There was enough beef fillet and vegetables on the plate, it also seemed quite fresh. Eftpos was available which was great!

I don't really recommend this restaurant. The presentation was good yet the food tasted terrible. I ordered a dry noodle with roast pork and BBQ pork. I can tell you, when I put the roast pork in my mouth, it felt like I'm eating an entire salt cube. Also, the BBQ pork wasnt seasoned enough and tasted like cardboard.

For those who have grown up eating food from Minh Hai along George Street, you may have shed a tear when you heard that they had closed down. Now that they moved to Sussex Centre Food Court, questions may remain as to whether they are still serving the same quality and quantity of food they used to. From my first visit eating my favourite Salted Chicken with Tomato Rice, my verdict is that Minh Hai lives and is definitely worth a visit.

I would probably spend a solid amount of time deciding what to order from their menu. Do I choose from my childhood favourite dish i.e. tomato rice with crispy skin chicken or a noodle dish or something stir fried? After careful selection, I decided to order the roast duck with dry noodle. The duck had great flavour and the noodle had even more flavour - it was really salty and the soup was played a crucial part in breaking (or diluting) the flavour. I would probably order the roast duck with rice next time!
