Chalk Talk Bistro

I had the All American with fries and a caramel milkshake. You can tell the beef was fresh and not frozen. Friendly staff. Clean establishment. I loved the fries because they had the skin on them. Milkshake was a milkshake.Took a little long to bring my food but it was fresh so I wasn't mad because it was fresh. I will return to try more.

I ate here shortly after it became Chalk Talk Bistro. The burger was on par with a burger shack like Dick's or Frisko Freeze, but prices like a good restaurant. The fries were mediocre. The "fry sauce," which seems to be a big thing around here, is just thousand island like everywhere else. So yeah, the "fry sauce" is good and the only thing that saved the food. Service was ok. Chalk boards everywhere. Not much to say about that.

I have always loved this place. Great food, great company, and the owner is an amazing guy, who is so down to earth. One of the only places that I truly miss now that I have moved away from Tacoma. Every time I get back to that side of the mountians I stop in and enjoy my time there. If you haven't had a chance to go here, you need to. Kudos and 2 thumbs up.

If I could give this place a negative review I would. Love the owner but the crew he hires do him no good. The girl that works there and does the art work on the wall....she might make cute chalk drawings but her personality if anything but cute, jeez far from pleasant at all, she is rude and makes up too many excuses instead of just sticking to the point and moving on to trying to make up for it and maybe help find something else to order (instead she asks if you still want to stay? and rolls her eyes and is snappy. ooh and let me say we have tried to give this place many chances and she just ruins it every time) and for how good the food is she makes you leave there with the worst taste in your mouth and wanting to vomit from the crap service. IF SERVICE MATTERS DONT GO THERE (also they said no more breakfast but still have it on menu and pictures up on the wall...wooooow)
