Hue Ky Mi Gia

I'm a little under the weather and was craving some noodle soup that didn't come out of a pouch. I'd been wanting to try this place and now I had a reason. I got the roasted chicken egg noodle soup and it was hot, salty, sweet and delicious! Several different kinds of noodle to choose from and friendly fast service. I also got the French coffee with condensed milk, hot. Strong, a little sweet and perfect. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

I'll keep coming back. Sitting in their restaurant right now waiting on noodles if only for the placebo effect of feeling better. Sniffles and coughs, noodles to the rescue. Pleasant staff, great smells, better flavor. Prices are about what you'd expect from a noodle house in China, except its in Tacoma and wages keep gong up.... (still good prices though).

My friend Marcia swears by the Fried Butter Chicken Wings ($8) here - and they are delicious - hot, crispy, lots of garlic & araomatics. Get any style noodle your way, from Chow Fun (fat noodles) to Chow Mein to Bun Gao (rice noodles). They serve them wet or dry. Prices hover around $9 per plate and portions are decent. These are Vietnamese preparations - so lots of seafood, fishballs, bbq pork and meatballs. Service is efficient, definitely not warm and fuzzy.

Hue Ky Mi Gia has become my family's favorite weekend brunch stop. My wife, an ethnically Cantonese Chinese woman born and raised in Vietnam, is convinced that this establishment and its sister locations are reason enough for her family to make a trip across the country from New England to visit us. The staff is always courteous, the food is always well prepared, and the service is never slow.

Was not too impressed with the food. Ordered fried tofu, ive had better. Chicken fried rice, that was actually ok, really bland tho. And BBQ pork chow mein. Any place that serves chow mein I always order, I love chow mein. This was the worst chow mein I have ever had. Only thing this place had going for it was a decent atmosphere and easy to find location.
