Gyro Zone

Felt like we walked into the owners kitchen or home. He made our falafals. We came in late in the night and we are vegetarian but this place is so welcoming and accommodating. And the food was very tasty!!! I dont really like hummus but this guy knows how to make his hummus. All the sauces were so tasty and fresh. Wish we lived close to this place. Go here and try their food!!!

The old adage about not judging a book by it’s cover is so true. I was in Tampa on business and went to this place because Mediterranean is my favorite food and the reviews are great. The owner was the only one working and the restaurant was empty (12:30 on a Monday) which was concerning. The owner is super friendly and a fellow Detroiter. We ordered hummus, falafel and gyros. No kidding, this was the best I have ever had!! Real gyro meat off the spit which is hard to find in Knoxville where we live. He puts a lot of love in this food and you can tell. I would have given 5 stars but the restaurant was not very clean.

I am so glad today I found this place. Came in a couple weeks ago for their Falafel Monday special. The atmosphere and the vibe of the place is amazing. The owners were friendliest and most welcoming and gave us tons of details about the place, from the decor to the music that set the mood for the restaurant. Their conversation was great and the FOOD was even better. They made everything right there for us, the pita chips included. The falafel was the best I've ever had. I usually HATE baklava, but since everything else was so amazing I gave it a try... It was to DIE for. Finally, they gave us this coffee stuff that I wish I could remember, because it was the perfect finishb but I'll be going back again with many friends. Perfect. Great experience all around.

Stopped in for the first time today at Gyro Zone and had an amazing lunch. The gyro along with fresh homemade hummus and chips was incredible. Abraham (the owner) was very interactive with his guests and really made a lasting impression on not just his food, but his personality and the way he runs his restaurant. I highly recommend Gyro Zone!

My wife and I have been craving good falafel for awhile but haven't been able to find it. We were really happy to find Gyro Zone! We went on an afternoon and we're fortunate enough to meet the owner. You can tell he really appreciates his heritage as he plays beautiful Lebanese music and uses only really fresh ingredients to make authentic food. We had a great time time talking to Abe and ended up getting Shwarma, gyro, falafel, fries, humus and tabouleh. Everything was delicious, my favorite was the gyro my wife loved the falafel and fries, both of us were slathering tabouleh on everything. We will absolutely be back anytime we are on this side of town and I firmly hope he opens another location closer to Seminole Heights.

I’m more or less a lunch regular at this place. Without fail, I always get the grilled chicken shawarma. The portion size is modest, but it tastes great. The place is family owned and the staff is always friendly. The ice dispenser on the drink machine hasn’t worked so great for several weeks (months?), the place is sometimes understaffed, and they occasionally run out of things like unsweetened tea and tabouli when they don’t seem to be busy. But those are minor gripes considering that everything else is really pretty good.

The food is great. The service is high quality and professional. The staff are all personable. It's a local business that deserves your patronage! nithung is under heat lamps and I haven't seen a microwave used on food yet in this joint. The interior of the restaurant looks nice too. I only wish they offered some gluten free options for people like me. I recommend this place to all of my friends. Keep up the good work Gyro Zone crew!

High rated for a reason. We came in one hour before close, he was friendly made five dinners for my party and each had great presentation and tasted beyond amazing. We actually ended up bragging about how good our dishes each were and began a taste test of each dish not finding a single thing we didn't enjoy completely. While we enjoyed our food he took care of a couples take out order and as we were leaving 11 minutes to close he gaves us a goodbye that made it feel like an old friend and took care of another two customers who had just walked in. This man will not turn away a customer. You walk in and are greeted warmly, made to feel at home and filled with spectacular food.
