Lupton's Catering & Restaurant

Went to the restaurant for buffet bar posted online. We met one of the owners who told us they discontinued this dining option years ago but hadn't been able to update the information on the web. Upton's restaurant is part of RJ's Bar and Grille which may confuse customers when they first arrive to the facility. We were seated and ordered two barbecue dinners. Each meal included a large tossed salad, garlic bread along with a choice of two additional side items. The amount of food received far surpassed expectations and there was enough left over for a second meal. The staff is friendly and helpful and ready to answer questions, refill drinks and assist diners as needed. Dining area and bar are quite large and can easily accommodate large parties. There are multiple televisions throughout the building that display sports, movies and other televised programs. If you don't try Lupton's and RJ Bar and Grille, you will miss out on some really good barbecue.

It's been awhile since I've been here, and the place has really changed. It's brighter and cleaner. The whole time I was there, people were cleaning. The food has always been delicious to me, and this trip was no different. I think it's a wonderful place to go to for a buffet and it was reasonably priced.

I will go out of my way to eat at luptons. Their ribs are the best. Their fried chicken is amazing. While there this trip I was asked if I wanted fried tomatoes, chicken livers all which are made to order. Served buffet style, take what you want, eat it and come back for more if you're so inclined! My favorite days are when they have fried cabbage with bacon on the bar. So good!

Did not expect this good, home-style, bbq joint to be as GREAT as it was! We came in after a long day from the theme park nearby, and enjoyed the decor and the quality and variety of food available. My brothers and myself were very pleased and will make it a mission to stop back in next time we are in the area. Servers were attentive and always had our drinks full, fresh food was made as the food items would get low (and not added back ontop of the new, fresh food). Wings, meatloaf, chicken breast and ribs were AMAZINGLY GREAT! That sauce! DELICIOUS! Props to the cooks for the food! and wait staff for taking care of us!

We really enjoyed this stop. The buffet included lots of main course and side options. There were some extra hot special items that were prepared fresh upon request at no extra costs. Some of the buffet items were luke warm at best. There were lots of dessert options including numerous flavors of ice cream. Our waitress was happy, helpful, and most pleasant. If you leave hungry --- shame on you.

Must try old fashioned family owned restaurant in Tampa, As the name suggests, it’s a great BBQ place. The food was fresh and loved the ribs. It was tender and yummy. The decor and food was pleasant and nice. I should mention how the staff made us comfortable. While I was about to serve myself some ribs, the staff who was refilling the food asked me to wait for a second and she got a fresh stock of ribs( though the food in pan was not dried at all) , that was really thoughtful and it added to the pleasure of eating there. I would definitely go back and will invite and suggest all friends and family. You guys are amazing. Cheers :)
