Serengeti Overlook Restuarant

I must admit that I was disappointed when the crown colony restaurant and buffet were discontinued. However this little bar and restaurant are impressive. They seem to offer food and drinks not found in other parts of the park. Plus a nice quiet comfortable and scenic dining area to enjoy them. It certainly very easy to spend $$ here, lol

Stopped in twice while visiting today. First time initially wife and I were just gonna have a beer and sit inside and relax for a bit. Ended up ordering a pretzel with cheese sauce just to have something in out stomachs for the beer. Beer was good, I ordered a flight with bartenders choice & wife got a corona. Beer was delicious and refreshing. I can't say the same about the pretzel. It was stale in the the most epic of ways. The cheese sauce helped soften it up to chew and swallow. Yes, I could have retired it but I was too buzzed by that point to car and just ate as much as I could of it. 2nd time we went back was becauze we wanted some pizza and we were close to it. Pizza was good (very hot and fresh) and the portions were huge. Mozzarella sticks were ok, nothing exciting about that. What you'd get from a bag of frozen ones you'd get from the store. The customer service was excellent both occasions and the area was clean.

Unfortunately, when we went, they were renovating the restaurant. However, they kept the upstairs seating open and served a very minimal menu with cheese pizza and a couple other options. 4 pizzas ended up costing us about $60, they were just OK, some were cooked more than others. There was a QR Code on the table that you ordered from. A staff person came over and delivered the food. The reasons to eat there would simply be because of the air conditioning on a hot day, which was awesome, and the view of the roller coasters was pretty cool as well. It gave you something to look at.

Nice place to stop for some cold air conditioning and a drink and some food! It's right across from my favorite ride, The Cheetah Hunt which is so awesome. My boys loved the pizza and they have a full bar and seating inside or you can go outside and sit at tables with umbrellas and watch the big roller coasters fly by or just see amazing views of the park! Free ice water and restrooms and very clean and well maintained. I loved it!!
