Garrison Tavern

I recently visited Garrison Tavern in Tampa, FL and had an overall enjoyable experience, thanks to the fun-filled Topgolf suites. However, I must mention that the menu prices left a lot to be desired, especially considering the steep cost of $29 for 12 chicken wings. Let's start with the positive aspects. The Topgolf suites provided a unique and entertaining activity for our group. It was a delightful experience to combine socializing and friendly competition while enjoying the comfort of the private suites. The state-of-the-art technology, coupled with the interactive games and targets, kept us engaged and entertained throughout our visit. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a fantastic time in the suites. On the downside, I was taken aback by the high prices on the menu, particularly the exorbitant cost of the chicken wings. While I understand that establishments in popular areas tend to have higher prices, $29 for just 12 chicken wings felt incredibly steep. It is disappointing when a simple dish like chicken wings becomes an extravagant indulgence rather than an enjoyable treat. Furthermore, the overall menu prices at Garrison Tavern seemed to be on the higher side. While I appreciate the effort put into creating a diverse menu with a range of options, the prices did not align with the quality or portion sizes. It became challenging to find a dish that offered good value for money outside of the Happy Hour menu. Despite the menu pricing, the service was commendable, with attentive and friendly staff members. The atmosphere within the tavern was vibrant and lively, creating an enjoyable ambiance for patrons. The drink selection was also varied, featuring a decent assortment of craft beers and signature cocktails, though these, too, were on the higher end of the price spectrum. In conclusion, if you're looking for a fun and engaging experience with the Topgolf suites, Garrison Tavern can certainly deliver. The interactive games and attentive staff contribute to an entertaining atmosphere. While the overall experience was enjoyable, the cost factor should be considered when deciding whether to visit Garrison Tavern.

We were honestly trying to go to another restaurant nearby but they had an hour wait on a Thursday ! So we looked around and found this restaurant unbeknownst to us that it was in a hotel. I had the special which was spinach and sausage with cheese tortellini, very nice flavors. I ate it all! My husband had the brisket grilled cheese and it could've used a little less meat and maybe cheese mixed together with the meat. It needed something else , like a sauce . The drinks were so good, very sweet just how I like.

My sisters and I were in town for a concert this evening and had dinner, and then after concert cocktails at Garrison’s. As busy as they were, our waiter Justin took such good care of us during both our visits and reminded me of what it’s like to receive excellent service. We interacted with the restaurant manager, Steven, as well and he was attentive to us from the minute we walked into the bar area, ensuring we were well taken care of. We saw him provide this same level of service to as many people as possible and he was definitely in the trenches with his team. We had several dishes and all were tasty. Can’t wait to come back and visit!

Staying in the Marriott Water Street 9/22/22… came into Garrison Tavern for a to-go order. Directed by the friendly hostess to the bar. Bartender took the order quickly, had a Yuengling while i waited… great service, BIG TV’s, modern atmosphere, closed on Wednesday’s, highly recommend. Excellent Food came out fast!

We didn't feel up to going out, so we decided to eat here. The service was great even though they were pretty crowded, but the food was underwhelming. The chicken was over cooked and dry, but the flavor of the sandwich was great. The pickle actually had a pretty bad rotten spot, and while I probably wouldnt have eaten it anyway, I'm not sure how that was missed when plated (unless the kitchen was slammed, which could have been the case). The server noticed it and apologized when clearing the plate (but it wasn't her fault and she was not the one who plated it or delivered the dish). The truffle fries were on point. All in all, we'll probably eat here again if we're staying at the hotel.

It’s a great place to hangout, but the service is very random, one day was great, the next day they prob try to ignore you if you don’t look like you are going to spend a fortune on drinks. Little things like I forgot your lemonade after the 5th times and no silverware, Games are fun and the environment is very nice and friendly. Price is ok for the area. Design and furniture are rock solid and modern. I will be back next month and will bump this up depending on the service.
