The Mediterranean Chickpea

I ordered take out from The Mediterranean Chickpea and I was blown away by the quality and taste of their food. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. I had the roasted red pepper hummus dip and the cilantro jalapeño hummus dip, which were both creamy and delicious. The fava bean salad was refreshing and crunchy, and the rice and lentils were hearty and comforting. The falafels (x2) were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, and the zaatar pie was a perfect balance of savory and tangy. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves vegan, vegetarian, or Mediterranean cuisine. The Mediterranean Chickpea is a gem in Tampa and I can’t wait to order from them again.

Found this gem by chance this morning, but ohhhh what a great find!! My daughter and I were in the neighborhood, and stopped by for brunch. We were the first ones there today! The food is absolutely amazing!!! So fresh… so flavorful. The service was also fantastic! The restaurant has a very welcoming atmosphere. Im looking forward to my next visit.

I don’t leave many reviews but this was some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve ever had. The veggie wrap was huge and well worth the price. Very friendly lady and i love the small Business feel. I was the first client of the day and several people walked in while my food was being prepared… great sign!

Really incredible food! Amazing lentil soup, some of the best I have ever had. The owner/worker is so sweet and motherly, she let me try anything I wanted before buying. I got the beet hummus, cilantro/jalapeño hummus, couscous, some wheat thing, and a tomato eggplant dish. Everything was vegan in the place except for one yogurt based dip! This place is amazing! Price is a little high though!

The owner makes you feel like you are home and very welcoming. She allowed us to try before we buy which was very considerate. You can tell she puts love into her food and appreciates customers. At first, I thought the prices were high, with the falafel wrap, for example, you essentially get 2-wraps in one; it's jumbo size, so I was happy. She also modified the wrap a bit, and it was delicious! She even gave us a couple of small ramekin's of hummus to take with us. I was delighted to see so many vegan options! Her dips are fantastic! We were able to visit twice so far, and it's been a great experience. I can say people are genuinely missing out on quality food by not going here. I'd recommend this establishment for the owner treating people like family, though there is no mistake, the food is wonderful.
