Moat House

Lovely listed building with function rooms up and down stairs. Beautifully presented and recommended for a venue in Tamworth. The staff are polite and helpful. Which brings me to the only problem...disabled access. First problem is the pots on the path into the building, meaning a helper can't walk beside someone with walking difficulties. No disabled access for the upstairs room. If you do get up the stairs, there is another step just after a door to get to the toilets, then another step up into the men's toilet cubicle! The women's toilet door is also very difficult for those with a rolator or walking frame.

A wonderful Silver Wedding Event in the Upstairs Function Room. Superb Buffet from delicious sandwiches right through to mini éclairs and range of ice creams. Music as selected, great drinks across two Bars in the Building. Fabulous 400 year old ceiling and unique, tasteful Decor throughout. A Big Thank you to Don, John and Team for making it such a great evening for all our guests. Also the Tribute Beer was excellent.

I could write an essay about how wonderful the Moathouse is! We had our wedding Reception here & from start to finish Jon & Donald went above & beyond to make sure everything went smoothly, we had an amazing day, we had a package that included canape's & welcome drinks plus an evening buffet, there was plenty of choice & covered all dietry requirements. The bar staff never missed a beat & no one was left waiting to be served. The venue itsef is so beautiful with so much character & kept immaculately. Highly reccommend for any function. We have also started to visit for drinks in the beautiful garden where are daughter can run around safely, the bar area is lovely & friendly with a nice selection of drinks. Its safe to say the moathouse has become a firm favorate & we will contine to visit.
