Mt Zion Coffee

Mt Zion is one of the best, of not THE best place to get coffee in Tauranga. I have yet to have an experience that hasn't blown my face off. Matt Ross is a killer barista, making exceptional coffee - long, short, milky, filter - it doesn't matter, it's all good. Mt Zion uses Grey Roasting Co. coffee which has to be one of the top roasters in Aoteroa right now. There's rotating filter and espresso options, a blend that will leave you smiling, and baggies to take home with you. The food here is also good if you need some nourishment. In particular, the toasties are amazing. A great place, great vibes, killer coffer.

Really good coffee! I had an espresso and my wife had a flat white, both of them were super yum. The espresso was balanced and rich. It also had a clean finish. The flat white was smooth and sweet because of the lactose. You can taste chocolate and caramel flavor. I’m really fussy about coffee, this cute coffee shop is definitely 10/10!

You know you get good coffee here when there is consistently delicious long blacks and consistently beautiful latte art. Mount Zion is the best small cafe in the strand. I personally am a repeat customer. Some honorable mentions are their iced coffee, long black, and their banana cake. The banana cake is perfection grilled into a heavenly slice of bliss.
